A tweet concerning Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, that was posted on the party’s official Twitter account has now been removed.
The opposition party claimed that Atiku Abubakar put together and oversaw the most skilled economic team in Nigeria’s history in a tweet that included photos of Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna state, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the director-general of the World Trade Organization, Oby Ezekwesili, the former minister of education, and Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra state.
Oby Ezekwesili who reacted to the tweet, alleged that the PDP used her photo without her consent. She further asked for the tweet to be removed, adding that it is false and misleading because Atiku allegedly “never did”.
Ezekwesili who acknowledged that the tweet was deleted, further stated that “facts are sacred and must always be upheld”.
