Portable Speaks About His Prison Experience Days After Regaining Freedom

News reported that the fast-rising singer was detained at the Ilaro Prison in Ogun State on Monday before being granted bail.

The state police command had brought Portable before the court on a five-count charge bordering on assault and stealing.

A magistrate’s court sitting in the Ifo Local government area of Ogun state granted him bail but remanded him pending the perfection of the bail conditions.

Magistrate A.S Soneye said, the offences are bailable and granted him bail with a bond of N300,000, two sureties who must reside within the jurisdiction of the honourable court.

Hours after his detention in prison, Portable was released having met his bail conditions.

The Zazu crooner on Wednesday took to his Instagram page to share his experience in detention in his yet-to-be-released single titled ‘Federal Government Liability’.

In a snippet of the song, Portable said he is a child of grace and can never be disgraced.

The singer also bragged that he didn’t wear a prison uniform while at the correctional centre.

He said: “I am a child of Grace. Latest glory. From star to the eagle, come and see grace wey no dey disgrace. They carried me to prison but I didn’t wear their cloth. Leave me alone. I am not a prisoner”.
